Doctoral colloquium

Just before the main conference, doctoral students can join the doctoral colloquium.
June 15-16, 2024.

Call for applications for the Doctoral Colloquium

The annual R&D Management Conference Doctoral Colloquium provides Doctoral Students a unique opportunity to interact with experienced researchers in the field of Innovation and R&D Management. Up to 35 doctoral students intending to pursue research and teaching careers will be selected and invited to participate in this program.

The Doctoral Colloquium will be free of charge for all the selected applicants thanks to the generous funding from RADMA.

Please observe that the Doctoral Colloquium is a separate activity. Doctoral candidates that plan also to attend the main conference (June 17-19) need to register to the conference in due course.

Design and Objectives of the Doctoral Colloquium

The Doctoral Colloquium is designed as a springboard for successful academic careers by examining important issues such as publishing, reviewing, and collaborative research; the event also provides networking opportunities. During the Colloquium students will:

  • Gain insight into current research issues and methodologies in innovation through intense interaction with the Colloquium faculty.
  • Meet leading research scholars in the innovation field and examine and discuss their latest endeavours.
  • Meet and share strategies, challenges, and experiences with other participants.

Dates for the Doctoral Colloquium

The Doctoral Colloquium is held prior to the start of the main R&D Management conference, on June 15-16, 2023. Admitted applicants are expected to attend all Doctoral Colloquium sessions.

Application Process

The Colloquium is open to doctoral students who are in advanced stages of the dissertation journey. The ideal candidate will have already accomplished one-third of the program: have finished any relevant coursework and be engaged in their dissertation work focused on an issue within innovation. Applicants will be evaluated based on their academic achievements, including publications and conference presentations. Preference will be given to those who are in the process of formulating a dissertation proposal. We welcome applications from all countries. The Colloquium will be conducted in English.

Application deadline is February 1, 2024.

Applicants will be informed of decisions by March 31, 2024.
